Subclass and Spell options available

Subclasses and Spells available in Beyond the Boundary

Replacing the options available in the two official source books (Tasha's cauldron of everything & Xanathar's guide to everything) that provide most of the classes, feats and spells are the following source books.

Subclasses - Choose from these and the players handbook options.

Sub class option list:
  • Galder's Gazetteer
  • Valda's Spire of Secrets
  • Tome of Heroes
  • Tyrant's and Hellions
  • Dark Arts Player's Companion
  • Sprouting Chaos Player's Companion
  • Heroes and Villains of Theros
  • Exploring Eberron
  • Tasha's Cauldren of Everything Else 1 & 2
  •

    Galder's Gazetteer

This option has re-imagines of the class, if you see something we can take from this instead of changing up your subclass.   Bonus points if you want to take the half caster Bard Variant.   * There will be an additional change to incentivize this for bards.

    Valda's Spire of Secrets

Page 191.   This option has a large amount of classes (1-20) but there is a subclass section I want you to grab from.

    Tome of Heroes

Page 52.   This is the main one I want us to use, it has the subclass choices for a different setting but I think it would be good to look at it for the game Beyond the Boundary.

    Tyrant's and Hellions

Page 385.   There is villainous sublcasses available in this option, sometimes you need a baddie to help.

    Dark Arts Player's Companion

Page 8.   Dark blood magic and macabre subclass options.

    Sprouting Chaos Player's Companion

New plant-themed options for player characters.

    Heroes and Villains of Theros

Mythic Odyssey of Theros inspired class choices.

    Exploring Eberron

Page 214.   Eberron setting based book, which has some very interesting subclass choices that are thematic in the Eberron world but we will allow them for use in our setting.

Tasha's Complete Cruicble of Everything Else

Tasha's Crucible of Everything Else Volume 1 & Tasha's Crucible of Everything Else Volume 2     These books are crucial to add back the Tasha's Artificer subclasses + some artificer infusions and Warlock Invocations.

Spells - Spellbook options to replace the current selection available in Tasha's and Xanathar's Guide

A lot of good spells are gone with the Xanathar's and Tasha's options, as such the following third party spell books will be allowed. , please let the GM know which options you are picking and then also put it into text for us to read.   This includes some very strange options, but please work with the GMs to figure out if you can take the option in the book selection provided.     * note GMs have not checked this list in it's entirety as it is over 900 spells possibly more.   Spell option list:
  • KibblesTasty Spell Compendium
  • Kobold Press - Deep Magic
  • Tome of Heroes
  • Valder's Spire of Secrets
  • Dark Arts Player's Companion
  • Sprouting Chaos Player's Companion
  •

    KibblesTasty Spell Compendium

The spell compendium lists about 140 spells that reflavor the ones from Tashas, if you find something close enough to a spell from Xanathar's or Tasha's in here you are free to use it.

    Kobold Press - Deep Magic

Midgard setting from Kobold press, very cool 700 spells. Some are strong as.

    Tome of Heroes

Page 270.   Tome of Heroes spells are another additional option from this great source book from Kobold Press.

    Valder's Spire of Secrets

Page 322.   Mage Hand Press' options for spells are also another great source of additional spell features.

    Dark Arts Players Companion

Page 32   This Blood Magic book allows rituals and spells to be cast and augmented with your Hit Points. Very interesting concept.

    Sprouting Chaos Player's Companion

    Page 13.
Spells to change the flora into companions or create mazes of thorns. This allows druidic magic to be spread across all classes.

Youtube Instuctions for how to search
