Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf E
During the Second World War no other vehicle was to come even close to the terrible reputation of the dreaded Tiger! Allied tank crews were spooked by the mear mention of its name, and rightly so as no Allied tank could match the power of the Tiger’s mighty 8.8cm anti-tank cannon.
The Tiger was also phenomenally damage resistant. Lieutenant Zabel wrote in a battle report dated 10th-11th February 1943, that his Tiger tank was struck by 227 anti-tank rifle rounds, 11 hits from 7.62cm shells, 14 hits from 5.7cm and 4.5cm anti-tank shells, along with an explosive satchel charge detonated upon the top of the Tiger - after the battle the Tiger was still able to drive 60 kilometers back to German lines for repairs!

Mud and Stones: The interleaved road wheels used in the Tigers tracks often became clogged with mud and stones picked up while traveling. If traveling through muddy ground (such as the Russian front) the wheels would become clogged to such a point that if the mud was not cleared out over night it would dry (or worse freeze) turning the Tiger into a large pillbox.
