Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf H
Entering prouction in 1943 the Ausf H was one of the largest models of the Panzer IV produced with over 3700 vehicles rolling out of the Krupp-Gruson AG factory in Magdeburg, Vomag AG in Plauen, and Nibelungenwerke AG in St. Valentin. The Ausf H model was followed by the final Panzer IV model, the Ausf J. The Ausf H saw the adition of steel side skirts (Schurzen) and the application of Zimmerit paste to prevent the attachment of magnetic anti-tank mines. A new commanders cupola was added which included a Fliegerbeschussgerat (anti-aircraft MG34 mounting).
