Overall Weight of the Harness
The overall weight of the harness is minimal and difficult to calculate. When worn the harness could be considered weightless by its effect on the body - as the weight is evenly distributed over the body. This is also part of the prime aim of the harness to help evenly distribute a soldiers equipment over his body so that it does not weigh him down in one particular area while also providing quick access to items.
