LT vz.38 Light Tank – Panzer 38t
In 1937 the Czech army issued a new set of light tank design specifications, both Skoda and CKD put forward test vehicles for extensive trials as the Czech army did not wish to undergo the problems of quick development inherited with the LT vz.35 Light Tank. From these trials the TNH P-S tank took form, designed both for the Czech army and commercial export. Adopted by the Czech army in 1938 as the LT vz.38 with a riveted turret and hull with the top plates of the superstructure bolted into place. Unfortunately the new vehicle was not put into service with the Czech army in time to fend off the German invasion. With the capture of the Czech tank works the vehicle entered service with the German army as the Panzerkampfwagen 38(t).
