Grenades, Explosives, & Ammunition Definitions
The below information lists the stats and definitions used to describe the various grenades, explosives, and other ammunition fired by various weapons of World War II.
- Damage: The damage dealt by the weapon or explosive.
- Crit (critical): The threat ranges for a critical hit, if a critical hit is confirmed double the damage dice.
- Reflex DC: Any creature within the burst radius of the explosive may make a Reflex Save against a DC given by this stat.
- Range Increment: Thrown weapons such as grenades can be thrown up to a total of fice (5) range increments, with attack rolls against a character square with a defensive value of 5. Explosives with no range increment must be set in place (this may require the Demolitions Skill). Rifle grenades and signal pistol cartridges are fired like normal projectile weapons (maximum ten range increments in distance their range is determined by the cartridges own propellant charge instead of the launching weapons range increment stat.
- Size: This follows the same system as above.
- Weight: The objects weight in pounds.
- Fuse (detonator): This stat lists ether a number or a dice roll, the total is the time delay in seconds of the explosives fuse, once the time delay is up the explosive will explode. If a keyword is present the fuse functions in a certain way. When setting or throwing an explosive with multiple fuse definitions, a fuse setting must be picked when the weapon is primed.
- Impact - This fuse & detonator will explode the weapon upon hitting a surface.
- Pull - A pull igniters is normally attached to a trip wire and used as part of a booby trap.
- Traction: This denotes the method of transport for large weapons systems such as field guns or other weapons.
- Towed - The weapon is towed on a wheeled carriage behind a vehicle.
- Vehicle Mounted – The weapon is mounted on a vehicle, such as an anti-aircraft gun mounted on the flatbed of a half-track.
- Horse-drawn - The weapon is towed on a wheeled carriage behind a single, double, or quad horse-drawn limber.
