Craft - Camouflage
(Int)
This skill represents a characters skill at camouflaging a position or object such as a machine gun nest or tank so that it does not stand out from its surroundings.
Check: No skill check is required when camouflaging a position, the character simply applies tree branches and camouflage netting as applicable.
Spot DC: Any character attempting to spot the camouflaged position must pass a Spot skill check with a DC equal to the skill level of the character who set the camouflage plus a modifier based on the size of the camouflaged object. The Game Master may modify the DC based upon circumstances, eg: distance, darkness, smoke, trees & shrubs between position and spotter.
Materials: Some camouflage requirements are simple such as branches from a tree to hide a machine gun nest, while others are difficult such as camouflage netting and turf to cover a bunker.
Time: The amount of time required to camouflage a position depends upon the size of the position and the various requirements of the position. As a basic rule of thumb it takes 5 minutes to camouflage a foxhole, 10 to 15 for a MG Nest, 20 for a small car, pill box, and over half an hour or more for larger objects. The Game Master may decide that large objects may require longer or may not be camouflaged at all.
If interrupted while preparing the camouflage the Spot DC is halved.
