Attaching Items
Special pouches and various other items have been designed with attachment to the soldiers webbing in mind. To attach these items certain straps may require threading through buckles or clips attached in special ways - this work is rarely done in the field and never in combat as a soldier would often done his webbing to help position the item of equipment in the right place for added comfort. Once attached an item is considered part of the webbing and thus can not be removed without difficulty.
