Heirs of the Night
The Heirs of the Night are a small group of individuals that operate Night Village, a small town hidden in the Western Wall.
Structure
The Heirs have a very loose structure, with Toryc being the main person who oversees everything. From there it vaguely divides into two wings: the Heirs that help run Night Village and the Heirs that earn money for the village and find new people. Both wings are made up of people brought to the village by Toryc and people who wanted to give back more.
The administrative Heirs help newcomers to the village find a place to stay and find what niche they can fill. Some run the bunkhouse that new arrivals stay in at first. There are Heirs that specialize in building new houses and expanding the village. All of the guards of Night Village are also Heirs who stay in the village.
While most Toryc find like to stay in the village, whether just living their life or by giving back by being an Heir, some prefer to spend a lot of time in the outside world. These Heirs act as mercenaries, taking on odd jobs brokered by Toryc to earn money for the village. They will usually take their own cut, but never enough to negatively impact the village. These Heirs will also sometimes find people when out and about that would benefit from meeting Toryc and getting the chance to be in Night Village. Very rarely will they hesitate to bring these people back to the village.
Among the Heirs that earn money for the village, there are a smaller few that are in Toryc's inner circle that will also go out to investigate things that have nothing to do with earning money for the village, and instead are involved Toryc's efforts to prevent some kind of catastrophe in the future.
Culture
The Heirs at their core want to give a home to those who have no home. To that end, they built Night Village and fund it to allow every denizen to live a life of their choosing. Every arrival gets the chance to explain their dreams to Toryc and have a say in what their house looks like when it is built. They take a generally hands off approach to the people of Night Village, only stepping in when the people are overly cruel to each. If a denizen proves too cruel and selfish to the other, they will be asked to leave for presenting a danger to the village, but this is a last resort that has not needed to be used yet. Due to the nature of people they bring to the village, the Heirs try to find alternate solutions to issues so no one who wants to stay cannot.
Public Agenda
Toryc's, and therefore the Heirs', main goal is to provide a space for those abandoned by society, safe from persecution and cruelty. However, alongside that, Toryc hopes to prevent an oncoming catastrophe spoken of by her people, although most Heirs don't know about this.
Assets
The Heirs are completely responsible for the operation of Night Village, having built every building themselves using materials they bought through taking mercenary contracts. Most if not all of the money the Heirs make through their work goes straight to the village, but at this point, the village itself has things from horticulture shops, blacksmiths, and carpenters, although very little in the way of raw materials they can produce themselves.
History
The Heirs are relatively recent organization, beginning around a decade ago when Toryc was outcast from her people for a crime her father committed. She dedicated her life from then on to helping others that have no place to go, eventually creating Night Village and finding a small group to help her in her dream. She eventually let her inner circle in on her knowledge of a dark prophecy that foretells a great doom that she wants to prevent. Since then, Night Village and the operations of the Heirs have grown to the point where they have people from across the eastern continent.
