Demographics
Almost all of the population of Merchanttown are, as the name implies, merchants. They are typically upper-class merchants who look to visit all of the countries of Beland, and thus use Merchanttown as a way to do so.
Government
Merchanttown is free of government rule and is an independent city free from the restrictions of the law.
Defences
The entire barge of Merchanttown fits neatly inside a Last Stand bubble, which coats the entire city in a thin, semi-transparent bubble that protects it against intruders. This bubble is let down during trading, of course.
Industry & Trade
Merchanttown trades goods from all across Beland, ranging from the least valuable soil to the most valuable artefacts.
Infrastructure
The city of Merchanttown rests upon several large, hollow tanks underneath the perimeter of the village, which help keep the town afloat.
Districts
The entire village of Merchanttown is essentially one large business district, with most of the barge being occupied with shops piled fifty feet in the area, crowded avenues and staircases to cram as many shops as possible on the raft.
Assets
The village of Merchanttown has large accumulations of currency, as much as small cities at times, depending on how well the current Coral run has gone.
Guilds and Factions
Merchanttown is run largely by the Merchants Guild, an organization focused on profit and business ethics.
Tourism
Merchanttown has the interesting slogan of "You don't visit the town, the town visits you" due to it floating down Coral Creek. The most avid of tourists may follow it down the river, although this is generally seen as suspicious.
Architecture
Merchanttown is mostly a collection of wooden buildings of varying shapes and sizes stacked on top of one another, up to five stories in height. There are narrow, gangly walkways trying to get to all of the shop entrances, and narrow paths down the "streets". Some shops even hang over the water, with supports clinging onto the barge.
Geography
Merchanttown floats down Coral Creek, and as such visits several different locations, ranging from the snowy tundras of Itala to the balmy climate of Mystdale.
