The Endtime Prophecy
Mankind is selfish, violent, self-destructive. It is through these traits we live a vicious cycle of destruction and rebirth.
Let it be known: The cycle cannot continue forever. Either mankind learns from the past, learns from the mistakes it has made throughout history, or we will find our planet cleansed by a fire more fierce than anything ever experienced in human history.
We stand now at this critical juncture: Do we continue to kill our fellow man as we watch the world around us burn? Or do we look to the heavens seeking refuge from our doom where it can no longer reach us?
The exact origins of the Endtime Prophecy are unknown, as it appears to have originated during the Dark Age, and as such there is little documentation of the time period.
There are many interpretations of the Endtime Prophecy, ranging from a kind of Rapture to a means of attaining transcendence beyond the physical plane.
The current interpretation the Immortal Library has agreed upon is that of Solar Expansion, a scenario where the Sun expands and engulfs the innermost planets of our star system before collapsing into a dwarf star.
The Endtime Prophecy is popular among Immortals, as there is the belief that some of them may live long enough to experience the world burning.
