Comforting Sofa
History
The couch was a thrift buy by Molly and Ali Treneaux for their apartment. It is solid, if of 1996 vintage. It is constructed of pine, steel, cotton, and polyester.
Later Ali discover that the person who had originally crafted it had included a number of enchantments. Each appears as a Chinese engraving in the wood of the frame. These include:
- 生活 (Life) – Promotes health.
- 幸福 (Happiness) – Promotes a sense of wellbeing and comfort.
- 保护 (Protect)
- 捍 (Ward)
Ali revitalized those and added 为了狐狸精尾巴的安慰 (For the comfort of a fox-spirit's tails) to put in place an extra dimensional pocket that her tails can slide into.
