Aresian People's Party
The Aresian People's Party, or the APP, is a communist political party that first originated as a guerrilla organization in early 2287. Fighting against the British rule in Aresia, the APP would ally itself with its other fellow rebel groups such as the NARA and ADU. When the parties would consolidate to form the Republic of Aresia in the March of 2292, the APP would begin steps to transition into a proper political party, especially after the formation of the Aresian Ground Forces, from which a major chunk of it consisted of the former military wing of the APP.
Structure
Upon its foundation in 2287, the APP originally started out as a guerrilla paramilitary group, bring mainly comprised of multiple distinct armies under a single leader. By the creation of the Republic of Aresia in 2292, the party would reorganize its structure to be more of a poltical party within the new Aresian government, with its previous guerrilla wing being absorbed into the new Aresian Ground Forces. Dispite this, though, a secret yet tiny paramilitary army would remain in control of the APP until at most 2299. Following the party's banning under the Winfrey regime in 2321, the party would reestablish its military wing and would begin an armed guerrilla revolt against the Aresian government.
Public Agenda
Starting from its foundation, the APP maintained the public goal of establishing a united socialist government over the whole of Aresia, specifically under the ideology of a democratic socialist, Marxist-Lenninist state.
History
The origins of the APP would begin in it's parent party, the left-leaning Aresian Democratic Union (ARDEUN/ADU), which itself was a split of the formerly big tent National Aresian Revolutionary Army, with the former splitting from the NARA after the latter's shift to a more right-wing party. After the ADU split from the NARA in the September of 2286, several leftist factions in the ADU began to gain strong relevance in the party, in particular, many socialist factions. By the December of 2286, several socialist factions in the ADU would begin to spliter off from the ADU, and by early 2287, the most of the factions would unite to establish the Aresian People's Party. Following its immediate founding, the APP, would begin to build up its own guerrilla forces to fight in the war of independence against the current British rule in Aresia. Following the establishment of the Republic of Aresia on March 21st, 2292, the APP would begin it's shift towards a more proper poltical party, especially after its guerrilla forces where incorperated into the newly formed Aresian Ground Forces.
