The Lasagne of Evil

The device is a multi-layered magical object created, or at least altered, by The Stranger. At its base, the object is effectively a grenade of void magic, and can be used to knock out all ongoing magical effects in a 30ft radius. This effect isn't maintained so, once the lasagne has detonated, spells can be cast again. On top of this, the Stranger placed both scrying and remote activation spells upon the object, allowing her to watch the area around it and choose the most opportune moment to activate it.

The item was given to The B-Team by Alva Marquez as part of her investigation into a series of disappearances  around the city. Upon examining the object, Pagan was only able to discern that it was comprising of multiple magical layers, each obfuscating the layer below and hiding the true nature of the object from her.   Lacking any better title for the object, Pagan gave it the suitably grandious moniker it currently has and put it in her bag, intending to look into it after their investigation. This opportunity would be denied her however as, while fighting against a deranged Adelade Matthews, the orb activated in her back and knocked out the magic keeping the floating wizard's tower they were in aloft. As Adelade escaped and the other members of her team tried to keep the tower flying long enough to drop it in a safe area, Pagan ended up in a sword fight with The Stranger, leading to her eventual ejection from the building and the villain's escape.
