A powerful extraplanar being and member of the mysterious order of Psychopomps, The Janitor has stood as the primary ferryman for souls within Bathala City since time immemorial, appearing in any number of forms to allow the recently dead an easy transition into the afterlife. His current form, appearinng to members of The B-Team as a school custodian is due primarily to his reluctant subjugation to the Archdemon Zaebos.
Using the power she'd inherited from her predecessor, Zaebos was able to bind the Janitor to her will, forcing him to ferry souls from the city directly into her own demiplane in order to quickly grow her own powers, but the psychopomp was far from a willing accomplice. Unable to divert from his purpose, the Janitor in stead created his own subplane within her own, a space where he could speak freely with whichever beings made their way inside. In doing so, he eventually made contact with a trio of heroes from the B-Team, giving them enhancements and advice on how to defeat his would-be mistress.
With Zaebos' eventual defeat, The Janitor was once again able to perform his duties in the way he was meant to, and quickly got to work ferrying souls from the demiplane and on to their respective afterlives. While he can no longer contact the team that helped him unless one of them were to die, he will always be grateful to the B-Team for restoring the natural order of things.
