The Century Group
Structure
At the top of the Century Group's hierarchy is the Century Council, responsible for considering the group's mission and how best to achieve it. They report directly to, and are personally selected by, the Minister of Defence, and are ultimately responsible for the actions of their chosen Centurion, a fact that they take very seriously.
The Century group is ostensibly under the control of the Centurion; the director of operations who is selected by the Century Council. The Centurion has broad permissions to conduct operations at their discretion, though the Council retains the right to disavow the Centurion should their actions conflict with the interests of the public. The current Centurion's identity is confidential for security purposes, though it's something of a known secret among certain circles.
Public Agenda
The Century Group was founded on the guiding concept that a hundred years of progress could save the world from itself. With the recent explosive increase in superhuman activity and the revelations of what had been going on at Schurk Industries, the government finally elected to step in and take a proactive approach.
History
After Schurk Industries was dissolved following the revelations of 2016, the government seized all assets belonging to the company and took control of all research and personnel, deciding quickly to create a new initiative that served to better utilise the transhuman and superhuman element.
