The Blight of Galmor City

In the year 5205 of the Twilight Age Galmor City and much of the Three Rivers territory of Galmos fell to the plague of undeath.   A cult of Orcus known as the Darek Kang unleashed a plague turning a 93% of the city into undead monsters. This was done under the order and leadership of Duchess Lirian Torlay. Using her family brewery, Lirian and the cult distributed a plague imbued ale all over the city and out to many of the neighboring settlements. No one saw the betrayal coming. The good people of Galmor City began to die, only to rise again as undead under control of Lirian and the Darek Kang!   The Resistance   While this plague swept across the city rapidly, there were some who reacted quicker than others. Currently leading the resistance against the cult is a group made up of a handful of citizens, the remainder of the Nordsguard, and the theives guild Eresmyr. This group is gathering survivors and getting them out of the city as quickly as possible, mainly through an undergound river previously used for smuggling purposes.   Galmon Oligarchy Reaction   As news of this reached the rest of the governors in the The Galmon Oligarchy many sent aid and regiments of the Nordsguard from their territories to help keep the undead "corralled" to that area. Lord Graves, governor of the Tragland, has personally funded mercenaries and other adventurers to go and help.
