Erenor
Erenor is the ancestral home of the dwarves. The Kingdom of Erenor reigned for over 1800 years. However, with the death of King Goren Ironhand, last king of the dwarves the Five Anvil Council was formed. The council led the kingdom for close to 200 years until dual wars against the Goblins of the Daggers Edge Mountains and the Bleeding Brood Orcs of Vornost led the council to sign a treaty bringing Erenor into the Eissen Empire.
Settlements and Locations
The capitol of Erenor is the Twin Mountains. It is primarily populated with Dwarves, Gnomes, Halflings, Humans, and a scattering of other races. The gnomes have added several steam powered marvels to the city.
Anvilar is the main port for trade of dwarven imports and exports.
The Mithril Hills, a mineral rich area where the denizens mine for precious mithril and Arcan-Iron for use in making weapons and armor.
Goren's Wall in the northeast serves as the main defense against the Daggers Edge Mountains. The wall was constructed by the last dwarven king, Goren Ironhand. The wall is constructed from stone, steel, and mithral.
The Northern Barrier fortress, it is tasked with defense of the northeastern regions of the kingdom. General Danoth Hellbrim is the commanding general of this fort.
In the northwest of Erenor lies The Slayers Temple, the final resting place for many of the great heroes of the dwarves.
Within the forests of Erenor live The Rockjaw Orcs. These peaceful orcs maintain a trade relationship with the dwarves of Anvilar. Recent Events During the Siege of Anvilar, orcs of the Bleeding Brood clan hailing from Vornost invaded. They uncovered an ancient structure known as The Taken Tomb, a place containing an ancient power sealed away since before the Twilight War. This initial attack was driven back by the combined effort of the dwarven milatary, the Rockjaw orcs, and the Sons of Sauriv. The conflict with the goblins began roughly two months prior to the attack of the orcs. This dual warfront spread forces thin and directly led to Erenor joining the Eissen Empire.
