Session 130: The Dales of Dovah and A Flower's Disguise that Voided V'apan
General Summary
The Dovah's and Horizon slay dragons and loyalist knights, but two grand explosions ensure the beach and docks, the Dales, are theirs. Thankfully Aikhon and Valentha have some healing drafts and injections to aid, but they must not give up, and they must continue--some by foot west and north, and others on Valentha's ship. Cannons and the fleets still engage, and the night is yet to be won. The Dovah's soon find keen members of the citizens' resistance led by an odd group of swolbold Kobolds of the Kollective, and they ensure the citizens arise for the purpose of a new order, and for the will of the people. Aikhon aids in the shadows, his cloak bending light until the sun rises; Valentha and her follower trail through the city; Vareth returns to this City, for undead zombies must be placed, assurances guaranteed by ribcage-keg bombs.
Further north, amongst the docks of Yorgtha, Reginald Aldar leads thew crews of the Crimson Fleet to capture the street docks and stop the mangonel onslaught upon their fleet. With the aid of Lady Saerah's own magic and disguised self--of the citizens and the fame of Ilknar and other heroes and villains the Crimson Fleet, let alone the Grey Coasts--the docks fall, and the forces of the queen are forced to retreat further inland, towards the palace. The momentum needs to continue, and thankfully distractions happen from many sides: to the north, a rogue vessle flies up the rivers, and to the back of the Mainwalk, and fear takes over as 'they' attack from all sides; from the east, the Crimson Fleet continues to bombard the docks and the Queen's Fleet, taking Cirdan and the Bay of the King; from the south, a red-sailed vessel adds to the distinction of the capital being surrounded, with it sneaking passed the Faces' Fleet and into the Grey Harbor, where marines and Scallywags land to add elements of the skirmish and chaos about--not to mention but hours before, the edifice of the Faces' defensive prowress was destroyed by the Kolbold Fleet, a preemptive strike by the Crimson Fleet in the early hours of the morning--where now other members of the Queen's Fleet follow in a wild chase; and from the west, the King's Fleet has still not returned, and his chosen are distracted and disbanded. The claimant of throne has died, indeed, and signs of the new era and beginning are apparent and obvious, to even the most layman. Finally, one of these forward elements of skirmish and chaos, where Yolov and Hrilda lead Ihapaeg, Firi, Ganoi and Deoy to a forward position a stables needed in the outer bend in the city; once taken, the dragoons and knights will little access to the land movement needed to keep up with the Crimson Fleet's Siege. They are almost ambushed, with the heavy rains, and even prayers from Hrilda for blessings of storms from the All Father upon their siege this day. Storms to aid in the onslaught and seek for freedom. Yet, when first engaged with three green and a black dragon, Hrilda and others quickly react and defend, and the old Ihapaeg draws a card from is wondrous deck; Void, and the main threat, a githyanki half dragon warrior, well, he is sent back to the anctral plane from whence he was originally from, and then these Scallywags took quick work of the dragons, with only one blue running away. Well, soon, to be mind melded and befriended by the Ganoi.
The Siege is not complete. The Scallywags must keep pushing through the streets to the palace gates.
