Session 129: Scallywags: Dwarven Bombardments Singing Around a Dovahvan Chaos Fit for Queen
General Summary
Reggie leads the Vanguard of the Crimson Fleet through, first met by Draconian Dreads full wingspans beyond 15 ft, dozens of them. The cannons of the whole fleet follow suit, and the chaos, something created hours before by some unknown explosion (Kobold Kollective!) at the Inquisitor's Sanctum. Then, they focus on the fliers, and even the frigates and war ships. There should be more. Where are they? (Kobolds at Feon have distracted/thwarted/destroyed part of the King's Fleet, and many of the remaining chase after Veruca Salt to the East). Thus, the Vanguard and Fleet make quick work of the remaining boats, and begin to take the docks as their claim.
However, aboard the Redwing, the others, Brimstone, Ilknar, Orran, Wulfgar, Sasha, Nethpione, George, Ollie, etc... they travel, and then teleport, presumably by the Voyager Staff of Aikhon's, to the Collegiate Arcanum, where they will stop reinforcement of wizardly spells at the least, and, hopefully, at the most, catch the Queen out of the palace, for she is a High Mage herself. This group reminisces about the last few days, and how the plans still need to be set in motion... the fleet, yes, the momentum in the Bay of Kings is crucial, and it looks like they have gotten to the docks, but will they take them? Aikhon and the other Dovahs (Valentha, Vareth, Steadfast, Feanger, and Valentha, with Horizon's aid), they must take the The Dales Docks, to ensure their is a fallback location in case the siege's momentum falters. Then, Reggie, Kadage, Qoq, and 43, somehow with Saerah's insensate aid--for she charges through all of the Crimson Fleet's ranks to be the first to dock, and she is even assisted by those aforementioned captains of the Crimson Fleet--they must take the Yorgtha and Cirdan docks, all the while the Horizon's Call skates over land west and then norht by north west, to the Grey Harbors; there must be another flanking maneuver to keep the Faces citizenry and security off-track, and Pojin will lead one group, Hrilda and Ganoi another, while Aun run's the farthest inland and even into the city--skirmish and guerrilla warfare must be their tactics now, to slow wear down the enemy, enough for them to finally take the Palace of the Queen upon the backs of the dark stones of Mainwalk. Will the people rise to their aid though?
They must sail on, and add to the confusion before they teleport far north.
This leaves the docks to be in the hands of the Dovah's, and Aikhon leads Horizon and the other Dovah siblings beside Brimstone, and they attack the Dales docks and dens, the last ruins of the Inquisitor's Sanctum. The enemy is not quick to respond the water grabbing men in the darkness, and storms brewing above, churning angrily. Soon they realize they are besieged, and they try to regroup, but the Dovah's are moving fast. They still have time to calculate these inquisitors' demises. Aikhon liquiified some, and Steadfast called upon ancient ice magic, while being also teleported across the winds by his brother, Feanger, and Valentha's carbine rained lightning and hail, with Vareth's cackle in the background, for he faced a draconic amalgamation of uncertain origins; Horizon's arrows his, and she petrified a few mariners. They have just begun to sow stories of fear, or conversely, stories of Dovahvan Grand Designs.
