Session 102: Animaesus and Tarrasques: Forbidden Children, Names, Loves; Merging Legends Pt. 2
General Summary
Aether, an aves of the 8th House, and Tenebris, a shadar kai elf of legends past, charge toward the few dozen dwarves, a scouting group held ahead of the main force. This group will lend themselves to death, and a means for Tenebris and his crew to find a quick reconvene with Amu, Pio, and Gorgmongr. Kaly aids with magic, and Tenebris' children volley with magical arrows. The dwarves are soon broken, and one sharp shooter tries to escape. At first Tenebris gives chase, but soon he only lets fear hang as his children give chase, a short hunt. Once back together, in a hope to save time, Tenebris will teleport the group close. They end up being closer, but more north than intended. They start to hike. Time is of the essence. They need to hit them before the dwarves arrive at the City of Salt.
Birdman, however, is much farther westward, nearing the Aves Forests before the mountains beyond, then the ocean. On the way there, he notices how his influence is carrying over to the tarrasque. It seems more aware, apt, using larger words, and wondering about its true name. Birdman is not sure how to answer, and so befuddled, he almost doesn't notice a group of animaesus tailing him and the beast. They are trying to, with no avail, to cast a diviniation spell, a hunter's mark, to track the beast. Yet, its resistances are too much. Nevertheless, Birdman catches up to one of this group, Cherthiz, a felis, catfolk, whom runs with all his life. The tarrasque however, just wants a new friend, a new friend. However, fear is too much for this felis, but thankfully his sanity holds, despite the beast's waves, and the Birdman's even odder appearance. Once calm, Cherthiz explains that the Walker leadership must know of this new development, but they are five days north of here. Birdman agrees to escort the felis, but the cat is not convinced at first until he realizes the beast will not be joining them. He will wait the time until they return. They set out.
While gone, the Tarrasque patiently waits for a day, then makes a mural of his love, the bright light, Eember. She arrives on the second day.
Amu is not one for wasting time, so once close enough with Gorgmongr's elk form, enough to smell their fires and stenche, within 8 miles or so. He transforms into a giant eagle, and he begins to concentrate on a Storm of Vengeance, a minute of hell, reinforced by his nature connections, the will of Jacq, the being of change, transfusing through him.
It is seen by Jhir, Grary, Tenebris, and their entourage. Jhir joins the storm with his own vengeance upon the jourvian army. Tenebris and his ilk charge forward to engage. Thirty minutes of screams.
