Fireworks - H&C 2

The PCs head north, bound for New Danforth. A large sandstorm is on the horizon so they look to take shelter near the Alderwood Mountains. Taxman takes a look on his scanner and sees a number of small signatures heading towards Leamington Gorge. They find a place to wait out the storm and as it is ebbing a scorpillar emerges and investigates the mechs. It hisses and waves its pincers put does not attack. Eventually it heads back in to the canyon.   About 5 km from the gorge, they come across a downed Mazona. It is riddled with machine gun fire and half buried from the sandstorm. Taxman gets out of his mech and opens up the partially shot-up cockpit door. He recovers the body of a woman in a light green jumpsuit with the shoulder patch bearing the name 'Juggernaut 032', another Union Crawler operating in the region. He packs up the body and her plush penguin and scraps what he can from her mech.   Moving another 10km towards New Danforth, an wheeled vehicle with a mounted .50 caliber machine gun is found destroyed. The jeep is green with the name Receda Clique on the side. They gather some scrap and head into the town. It appears a battle happened recently with the town suffering massive destruction. A variant of the Receda Clique's symbol is found spray-painted all over the town. The survivors tell the PCs what happened and that many townspeople have been taken prisoner.   Early next morning they head out to the prison labour camp. They see a number of prisoners and guards. A firefight ensues with the PCs victorious. About 75 prisoners are freed and 12 Tech Level 1 scrap pieces are found as well as a damaged Thresher mech. They escort the people back to New Danforth and a celebration ensues.
