Poika Vanim is the main Koran colony of Ren. Its expansion had been extremely limited due to the mysteriously dangerous Quasi Terra Zone. They had expected to easily handle the issue with military force but they lost thousands of soldiers in the attempt. It brought immense shame to the elves and so they like to pretend it never happened.
