Da'Traxi

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Da’Traxi are an exclusive male race, humanoid in shape and possess a set of dragonfly like wings. Their chitin varies in colours of dark metallic shades of blue, black, green, red, gray and purple. Sometimes their chitin will also possess a mixture of the colours giving more distinct defined features. The chitin covers their whole body in a way that looked like finely crafted armor only exposing the lower part of their human like face.

Genetics and Reproduction

They reproduce sexually but they can only mate with other insect type races such as the Kreen (found only in Réalta Dhorcha) or the Papallona. The females of their species seemed to have been wiped out.

Growth Rate & Stages

Their existence is rarely discovered and usually only when one dies. Da’Traxi are not an immortal race, but do live for a very long time, in human years Da’Traxi have an average life expectancy of 48,000 years. They reach adulthood around 11,200 (equivalent to 21 years old in human years) and will be raised by their father until such time they reach adulthood. Their physical body fully reaches maturity at the age of 15 (fully harden chitin armor) and develop their wings at the age of 12.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They have a primarily entomophagy diet but on occasion will also be seen consuming fish.

Biological Cycle

Da'traxi usually shed their chitin every 2,000-8,000 depending on growth. During this time they are completely naked and require 50 years to regrow their new armor. Due to their human like structure and features, they can easily travel between settlements and societies.
