Fas Aid Network

The Fas Aid Network is an organization dedicated to assisting Fas individuals regardless of their class or Gens. It especially focuses on the needs of those who have either landed on hard times, have developed illnesses, or were otherwise rejected from their Gens for any reason. It was founded by Dimas, a Fas who originally belonged to the Mapek Gens. Since Dimas has had extensive interactions with outsiders, the gens considers him an outsider at best and a traitor at worst.   Part of the Fas Aid Network is a small commune developed on land that the Aravun Yashelin abandoned after the orchard was burned to the ground during the Aravun Civil War. Even though their presence annoys the farmers nearby who would like to redevelop the land now that life has stabilized, the land was officially requisitioned by its Fas residents first over a series of contracts with the flock. Now, the Aravun Yashelin government as explicitly ceded the plot of land to the Fas Aid Network.   At its core, members of the Fas Aid Network believe wholeheartedly in the value that Fas individuals of all walks of life bring to the table. Within Fas communities, this presents itself as a willingness to help everyone regardless of their skillset, class standing, or Gens affiliation. Many boots-on-the-ground members of the Fas Aid Network were taken in regardless of said traits as well, and so they are often highly invested in trying to save or otherwise help everyone they can in return.   The Fas Aid Network's relationship within Aravun Yashelin communities is less robust. Despite their belief in Fas sovereignty, they conceive of the reality on the ground as one of Fas subjugation at the hands of the Yashelin. This isn't a new philosophy amongst the Fas by any stretch of the imagination, but this group is one of precious few that has been able to make any headway with the Yashelin. Formal advocacy work is primarily driven by Dimas, who leverages his unique circumstances to win his people and his organization freedoms, assistance, and collaborations otherwise unheard of.
