The world of Băinut is an expansive collection of continents that is still relatively youthful in its current iteration of civilization. Between the ancient secrets, long-standing mysteries, recursive apocalyptic scenarios, plane-based power vacuums, and, censorship-based espionage, it's obvious this still-young world has had an eternal history. You find us in the currently measured year of 251, and it's been 15 years since the world was last threatened with apocalyptic catastrophe, yet between then and now much has shaped what it means to even be living on Băinut.
The Southern Kingdom, known for its ability to unite many independent city-states to form a monarchy, reigns presently as the strongest force in the world. They were to thank for saving the world the first time 15 years ago, and now they're fighting for their existence against the threat of an Undead Nation banking and conquering their shores. Whilst their strength is being tested, it may not be sheer military power that knocks them over, but instead a force greater.
The Far Eastern Empire stands unopposed by the demands of the present. The Undead Nation haven't broken past The Southern Kingdom yet, and so The Far Eastern Empire aid in what they can with promises and wealth. Their political ties only grew thinner, however, as an already profit-hungry nation, there may come a time were The Far East foresees a future in which The Southern Kingdom cannot repay its debts.
The Draconic North, existing, yet doing all but hiding behind The Southern Kingdom has its own worries and trials to deal with. With their time soon to be tested by the Undead Nation, they're fighting an internal dispute. In no fit state to save the world, all they can do is aid The South as much as they can.
The Undead Nation reigns strong on the Southern Kingdom's borders. Such a powerful force sweeping through continents beyond our current scope. They land at the foot of The Southern Kingdom, building a keep in less than a month and threatening a larger force, yet the motives of their leader remain questionable. The powerful necromancer Az Ko'Rash stands at the top of his tower, looking down at the lands around him. Many have fallen to aid his army, yet a curse of his own creation whittles at those of importance. His living undead curse sweeps through The Southern Kingdom, affecting everyone differently, yet with some order.
All this, without a single mention of the other planes of existence? The world must be going mad, but the Gods have not abandoned it yet. Fight for it, ignore it, or simply observe it, they all have a part to play.
