Gnolls

While the Gnolls have lost the history of their origins to the sands of time they remain a proud (mostly) nomadic species. They can often be found wandering the great grass plains of the world with their tribes. Some Gnolls however have found solace in settling in cities and taking up trades. While tribal Gnolls are not hostile or unfriendly towards city Gnolls they definitely do not understand them.

Gnolls are generally on the taller side for humanoids and can be found with a variety of fur patterns and colorations. They have sharply pointed ears that stick up and large canine teeth.

Gnoll Traits

Creature Type: Humanoid

Size: Medium (about 6–7 feet tall)

Speed: 40 feet (upright) 60 feet (all fours)

As a Gnoll, you have these special traits.

Adrenaline Rush. You can take the Dash action as a Bonus Action. When you do so, you gain a number of Temporary Hit Points equal to your Proficiency Bonus. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Short or Long Rest.

Darkvision. You have Darkvision with a range of 120 feet.

Exceptional Hearing. You have advantage on hearing based perception checks for anything within 60 feet.

Enhanced Stamina. When moving on all fours outside of combat you move at double the pace listed in the Travel Pace table. When traveling at a normal pace you do not have disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.
