At the conclusion of the civil war, seven faiths stood in control of the government. Garvol, Anestri, Valia, Ineria, Ulanok, Ythis, and Zonifyr. Over the next 250 years, the counsel increased it's own influence and changed laws make the Four Kingdoms a de-facto theocracy. One particular noble, Berro D'Noreth had used wealth and influence to delve into necromantic arts, an act of treason against the churches. Eventually he was brought to justice.
