Lore
Lore
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Lore is small, even for a Vulpera, and relies on stealth, skill and precision rather than brute strength or magic to topple his enemies.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Lore, like most Vulpera, grew up on the sands of Vol'dun, moving across this harsh wasteland with his caravan, helping his people trade and scavenge for supplies. Despite his apparent naivety and awkwardness in social interactions, Lore shoulders a heavy burden, his past...
Employment
Lore is unique among Vulperan, both as a soldier and a spy. Whilst the Vulpera are a relatively passive race, Lore is anything but. Along with a small band of liked-minded Vulperan under the leadership of the Vulpera known as Nisha, Lore was an active member Vulperan milita, the first and last defense against, what Nisha believed to be, an inevitable attack from the Faithless Empire. Before the Faithless attack on the Abandoned Burrow, Lore was tasked with scouting out Sethrak slave camps, causing disarray amongst the Faithless militants and freeing any Vulperan slaves he could.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Lore, along with the Night Elf, Tellea, and the Void Elf, Kayenier Sinderveil, defeated Aku'mai in the depths of Blackfathom Deep.
Assisted by Kayenier's husband Thalrian Guilderglade, the trio also captured and killed one of the 9 brothers, known as the 'Reflection'.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Whilst he hides it very well, Lore holds onto dark secrets from his past. After losing everything and everyone he holds dear, Lore is driven by a singular desire, hunt down those responsible and drown the sands of Vul'dun with their blood.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Like all Vulperan, Lore has the uncanny ability to see value in things most others would discard or ignore, turning junk into useful (and often deadly) items.

Letter to Nisha - The Moonlit Burrow
Nisha,
It’s been a while since I’ve written to you. I’ve been kept very busy the few weeks, but I found myself with nothing to do tonight, found myself missing you…
A lot has happened. I’ve fought alongside my new friends, Tellea and Kayenier, defeated some big bads and have seen some things I thought I would never have to relive…
Any normal person would say fighting a ghostly spectre or a tiger would the most terrifying thing about my adventure but in truth it was seeing that ghostly Sethrak solider standing over you that scared me the most.
I haven’t forgotten you know; I will never forget. I still count down the days until I can return home and do what needs to be done. I sometimes find myself missing the scorching sun and cool relief of the desert caves, although I will say it is much easier living in this new land of Night Elves!
After Kayenier and her husband Thalrian left (they were looking for some ‘scourge’ that they say terrorises this world), Tellea and I decided to set up a base. Tellea says she will have been shunned by her people for failing to complete her Trials and so can’t return to the Big Tree and with no way back to Vol’dun (at least for now), I’ve decided to stay with her.
Our new den, the Moonlit Burrow, isn’t much, but Tellea and I have tried our best to tidy it up. I’ve spent a lot of time outside, familiarising myself with the land, collecting supplies, materials, and weapons. The wastelands are a treasure trove compared with the deserts and I’ve filled barrels and chests with all kinds of useful items. What ever happens next, at least we will be well supplied.
Whilst I have been busy restocking our new home, Tellea has been crafting furniture, growing it directly out of the ground. Her most impressive work has been the ginormous table in the middle of the burrow, wide enough to sit a whole caravan on top! She seems to enjoy sitting in her ‘throne’, an intricate mesh of bark, vines, and flowers that change with her mood. It makes it much easier to stay on her good side; you know how I struggle to tell what people are feeling sometimes. Well… except for you sister. I always knew exactly how you were feeling.
Whelp, I better get back to it, there is still plenty to do. Maybe I will go catch some fish… sounds like a good plan to me!
With you in spirit,
Lore
Letter to Nisha
Nisha,
I've never been good with words or feelings, you of all people would know that. But so much has happened the past few weeks and I needed someone to talk to, someone I know. So... Akunda suggested I start writing you, said it would help me, even if I know you'll never get a chance to read them...
I feel so out of place in this land, with its purple giants and flying llamas (the locals call them Hippogriffs). Wherever I go, purple and jet black eyes turn towards me, follow my every move. It is so unnerving, the center of attention in every room. I'm used to slinking off into the shadows, hiding from the world, alone with my thoughts. I was always the best at hiding from the adults when it was time for a bath when I was little, do you remember? Slinking off to one of my many hiding spots in the burrows...
I try not to think about the burrows, about that night, about you. I know you wouldn't want me to. I haven't given up hunting down those responsible but Akunda says I need to make friends in this land, says that if I show my worth, they will return to the dunes of Vol'dun with me and finally free our people from the Sethrak. I hope he is right...
All in all though, today has been a good day. I've met royalty, made two new friends, Tellea and Kayenier, and even talked with a tree! Although they are both elves, in many ways, Tellea and Kayenier could not be more different, one timid and a little unsure, the other confident and fiery. All the same, I like them both, even if they have teased one too many times about putting me on a leash! They have obviously never seen a Vulperian soldier in action, although I am proud to say they have now! I like to think I would have made you proud.
Anyway, tomorrow is a big day and I still have some armor to make so I'll leave it here for now. I'll make sure to write to you again soon.
I miss you Nisha...
With you in spirit,
Lore
