The Cataclysm
A chain of events that created catastrophic natural disasters to occur across Azeroth, resulting from Deathwing's expulsion from the Elemental Plane of Deepholm, located beneath Azeroth's crust. The boundaries between Deepholm and the physical world were weakened, causing a collision that ultimately led to the Cataclysm. This event reshaped the face of Azeroth, killed thousands, and caused chaotic elementals to pour out of the upheaval and attack cities.
