Former heir to the Kingdom of Alterac turned Crime Lord, Aliden Perenolde is long suspected to be the true leader behind the Syndicate, but is almost a ghost of a man - and just as elusive. Attempts over the years by both Horde and Alliance to captured Aliden has failed, and his locations remain inconsistent. Syndicates members believed to have a direct way of contact with Perenolde hold an undying loyalty, so told by Legionnaireswho tell horror stories of captured Lords cutting their tongue before capture, or trash like animals until they were forced to be cut down. Whether he still lives, and that time has not claimed him or another Lord did not eventually lead a coup against Perenolde have been also rumored, with some Syndicate grunts and lesser nobles believing it so.
