Rubaat al-Qadim - Old City Quarter
Inside the walls where the old Zuratha Fortress used to be.- Harat al-Zuratha (District of Zuratha) - lower merchant class area
- Bayt Zahriya (House of Flowers) - working class brothel
- Hamsat al-Talmar (The Talmar's Whisper) - Unremarkable rug shop. Mention that your aunt told you the blue dye doesn't fade.
- Harat al-Nasamah (District of the Breeze) - Merchant housing district
- Harat al-Kuttab (District of the Scribes) - Scribes, translators, and paper-makers, old admin district
- Bayt al-Nuqra (House of the Basin) - The original public bathhouse of Telkara, named for the central carved stone basin that still stands.
- Harat al-Safra (Yellow District) - Sculptors, mosaic artists, metalworkers, perfume-blenders, and calligraphers
- Rahbat al-Nur (The Courtyard of Light) - "The Lanterns" for short, half public square, half ongoing performance
- Harat al-Hinaya (Patchwork District) - Working class, small but lively second-hand market
- Harat al-Tirah (District of the Shrine) - The old religious district before the big temple complex was built
- Jabal al-Raqi (Hill of the Gentle Climb) - Marginal district, on a slope
- Bab al-Layl (Gate of Night) - Marginal district, just outside the Old City, near old north road

Industrial areas near the river docks- Harat al Sina'a (District of Craft) - Artisan and industry zone for glassblowing, enameling, jewel-setting, lamp-making, pottery, blacksmithing
- Harat al-Rukkaba (District of Porters) - Stables, donkey yards, low inns for caravan workers
- Harat al-Fajr (District of the Dawn) - Working class residential
- Harat al-Mawashi (District of the Herds) - Butchers, stockyards
- Harat al-Makhazin (District of the Storehouses) - Crates, rope, shaded alleys, and grumbling guards
- Harat al-Rawah (District of Aromas) - Tannery, dyers, perfume-makers, other smelly stuff
Rubaat al-Mudhala - Quarter of the Crossing
Commercial and residential areas surrounding the main bridge and market- Harat al-Zawalim (District of the Awnings)- Caravanserais, beast pens, near the North Road
- Harat al-Nakhil (District of the Palms) - Shabby-genteel area home to many retired scholars and tutors.
- Suq al-Nalgarim (Nalgar Market) - Market District, "Alsuq" or "Suqrim" for short
- Rahbat al-Khidr (Courtyard of Bounty) - Produce
- Rahbat al-Tayib (Courtyard of Delights) -Food sellers
- Bazaar al-Hamra (The Red Bazaar) - Spices, known as "The Burn"
- Midan al-Kharaz (Threadworkers’ Square) - Textiles, etc.
- Dar al-Raha (House of Ease) - Bathhouse located in the Rahbat al-Tayib
- Harat al-Kharazin (District of Thread) - Tailors, dyers, rope-makers, silk vendors, upholstery houses
- Harat al-Iramiya (District of Iramis) - Bridge district ,commercial/mercantile
- Jisr al-Nurayn (Bridge of Two Lights) - Main bridge of Telkara, officially Jisr Iramis (The Bridge of Iramis)
- Harat al-Matar (District of Rain) - Working class residential
- Bayt al-Sahra (House of Steam) - Bathhouse
- Harat al-Yasmin (District of Jasmine) - Unassuming neighborhood with inns, salons, coffeehouses, and discreet companionship
- Harat al-Marahil (District of the Wayfarers) - Visitor/inn district
- Al-Mahjar (The Pilgrims’ Rest) - The stretch where pilgrims are catered to
- Harat al-Khudra (Green District) - Esoteric shops, small temples, and fringe spiritual figures

Public, administrative, and wealthy districts in the eastern portion of the city- Jawhar al-Madina (Jewel of the City) - Home to the Mahada families and the pleasure palace

- Rahbat al-Kahran (Plaza of the Arch) - Contains Kahran al-Mirath (Arch of the Inheritance) or the "Mirror Gate"
- Riyad al-Khalidun (Garden of the Eternal Ones) - Private garden for the Mahada, very formal
- Riyad al-Hilal (Gardens of the Crescent) - Noble District, elegant estates
- Dar al-Nujum (House of Stars) - Elite bathhouse, invitation only
- Jinan al-Mulafa (The Veiled Garden) - Brothel located discreetly near the palace district
- Harat al-Sijil (District of Records) - Administrative district
- Dar al-Madina (House of the City) - Central administration for the city - Amira Layla al-Basit presiding
- Plaza al-Rahma (Plaza of Grace) - Large open courtyard near Dar al-Madina

- Ismirat Halin (Observatory of Halin) - Observatory using pre-Shattering technology, "Halin" is inscribed on the metal
