Session 2-8: What Dreams May Come

Deciding to rest for the evening, the group finally settles back into the Inn to recover, and though most are at peace, two members of the group have troubled slumber...   Thia dreams of a meadow by a forest, and a great dark figure within, terrifying and peaceful all at once...   Inar dreams of his past, exploring the wastes before being drawn into strange flashes of darkness, fur, and the strong scent of iron...   Picking up bright and early, Kelner heads directly to the college to continue his research, before seeking out more books on the topic at hand, only to discover that the ones he needs most are in the possession of Zaquivir and Ledger.   Meanwhile, seeking guidance, Inar tracks down someone who knows of the beast spirits to determine where his journey goes next and is given a lead: the great ram Dendabor lives in the Fortunebreak mountains, above the dwarves.   Kelner ultimately makes some progress, but the biggest step is in connecting some dots with Therei: strange, never-before-seen monsters have shown up beneath the Fortunebreak mountains and have been ravaging dwarven outposts.   Convening again at the Inn, and sharing information, it seems their goals line up in more ways that one, as Melios notices that some of the strange attacks coincide with the region marked on the old Aarakocra map he discovered.
