Session 2-5: A Bear, A Rift, A Tree

Unprepared for a charging bear spirit, the group fights back, managing to catch sight of the right at last: far up the trunk of the world tree, and dripping black, syrupy sap.   While most of the group hold off the bear, Kelner and Thia make their way up into the air to reach the rift, using the technique explained by Zaquivir to force the weave back together around the rift, shrinking it and weakening the hold on the bear spirit.   Exhausted, the two fall to the ground, taking only minor injuries in the process, as the bear collapses into a pile of plain-looking wood and bark, before Inar's target truly emerges: Magnar the wise, Primal Deity, and Watcher of the World Tree. He grants Inar a boon of support and warns the group of "the wounded one", who watches them from everywhere and nowhere, attempting to be reborn.
