Session 2-4: The Flying Trees

Disturbed by the shadowy figure, the group investigates the area, finding it to be reasonably safe for now, and settles in for the night (though not before discovering the magic veins coursing through the earth, and taking samples of the strange mushrooms). In the morning, they resume their hunt for the rift and notice a strange sensation: the further east they go, the stronger the feeling of magic in the air, and the sensation of being watched.   Tracking further through the woods, they are briefly caught off-guard by a field of massive Agri-flies, grown so large as to resemble trees in their own right, but the swarm is startled and flies away. Astonished, they soldier on, finally entering a clearing and finding themselves at the base of a tree so massive, it could only be one thing: The World Tree. Before they can explore, a figure emerges from the forest nearby; the great bark-skinned form of a massive bear. Attempting to speak with it, Inar steps forward, only to be met with a challenge to the group, as the bear begins to charge.
