Crafted in the frigid Demesne of Ice, this weapon is freezing to the touch for any creature that is not attuned to it. It is constantly coated with a thin layer of ice and the blades of the greataxe are constantly dripping with icicles.
You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls while wielding this magical greataxe.
While holding the greataxe, you can use an Action to activate one of the following properties. Each use takes up 1 charge, of which the greataxe has 2 total and regains all expended uses daily at dawn.
Blade of Bitter Cold. You smash the greataxe into the ground and unleash a thin blade of ice 5 ft wide and 120 ft long. Each creature in this line must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw, taking 6d10 cold damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Cold Snap. You plant the greataxe firmly against the ground and unleash a wave of freezing energy in a 15 foot radius around you. Each creature in this area must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or take 6d10 cold damage and have its speed reduced to 0 on its next turn. A creature that succeeds on the saving throw takes half damage and its speed is halved instead.
