The Radiant Imperium

The Radiant Imperium was created as a response to the hostility faced by Demons and the Immortal War - a never ending struggle between good and evil. Angels were not created with conflict and strife in mind, instead serving as hospitable and warm hearted servants to the patrons in the Realm of Light, yet they were thrust to protect their very homeland when Azox - God of Destruction sought to claim it all for himself and his nefarious deeds. Their peaceful nature served them no favors, and what angels did take up the mantle of soldier to fight back found themselves outmatched against the frenzied savagery embodied by their foes. Because of this, the Radiant Imperium was formed, compromised of an specialist group of angels that would not only lead and instruct the army of Light, but also serve as the finest last stand, second to the Gods themselves, against all villainy.
It is compromised of seven individuals: Osrial, Yenon, Nefermith, Agoelle, Isolis, Raesphial and Selmiora.
A Brief Summary of the Members
Osrial, The Blinding Flame - Acting as the leader, he charges into battle with divine fury, inspiring his fellow angelic soldiers. A paragon of righteous aggression, he burns away corruption through sheer presence and is the Imperium's symbolic front.
Yenon, The Veilpierce - A master of perception and surgical precision, Yenon specializes in uncovering deception and hunting infiltrators. He ensures the Radiant Imperium is never blind to its enemies as no lie, illusion, or shadow escapes him.
Nefermith, the Dirgewrought - The very answer to necromancy and undeath, standing as the cleanser to unholy abominations.
With mournful strength, he purifies cursed ground and ensures no soul is left in torment.
Agoelle, the Moonwrought Sentinel - Her shield is the sanctuary that defends the hearts and minds of her comrades. A calm bulwark, she holds the line and anchors the formation, protecting from corruption, doubt, and crushing mental fatigue.
Isolis, the Tempest Sage - A supporting commander, Isolis tends to the wounds of her comrades and blesses their armaments to emit the righteous fury that strikes such awe on the battlefield.
Raesphial, the Argent Chains - Raesphial is responsible for isolating and capturing high value threats with divine shackles. He also acts as an interrogator, information collector, and archivist due to his proximity with his many vile prisoners.
Selmiora, The Starforged Bloom - Selmiora interprets omens and celestial patterns, divining outcomes before they unfold. Serene and distant, she guides the Imperium with quiet foresight, her presence a silent warning to those who defy fate.
Composition
Equipment
The Radiant Imperium have armor crafted by Goath - God of Forges, himself, overseen and advised by Lodavel to ensure near impenetrable protection, as well as light enough materials fashioned in shifting plates for as much freeform movement.
Although they do not have the traditional 'avian feather' wings that their fellows angels possess, their spectral, tendril like appendages that grant them flight are only less vulnerable by virtue of having less mass, and thus a smaller surface area to strike. To this end, they still require protection, and so many back pieces will have a sort of 'shatter' effect from the back to shield the source point of these wings.
Else, the other uniformity in their appearance would be some sort of face covering, be it a hood or imposing helmet, as they lack any recognizable facial features.
Tactics
Although not against using special tactics such as flanking, securing locations that offer advantages, or taking advantage of enemy's weaknesses, their most notable tactic is a dazzling display of shock and awe. Cutting through swaths of demons, setting holy fire to foul abominations, and dominating the battlefield through righteous zealotry.

Although originally created by Ciel - Goddess of Life, they generally answer to Lodavel - God of Justice, a choice made wisely at the advice of Solisius - God of the Sun.

While the Radiant Imperium is compromised of but the few elite members mentioned, because they lead and instruct the other soldiers in the army of Light, their tactics are seen even in common, non-Imperium, infantry.
