Entities
Essence is the building block of all things. It always has, always is, and always will be, before things become and after things end. However, this mysterious existence walks a level of sentience and non-sentience that even the most studied cannot understand specifically in its tendency to bond and disperse. The most perplexing example of this, that denizens of Ayn have never experienced, is that of the Entities. Whether boredom, deterministic fate, or random chance, the Essence that existed wandered without purpose in The Never End until they began to, in the loosest of ways, form into massive, expansive beings unfathomable in size to mortal minds.
The sheer breadth and scale of an entity cannot be understated. While sizes can fluctuate by light years, even the smallest can hold a planet as though it were but a mere globe to be inspected. These unfathomable proportions prevents mortal races from being able to witness their majesty, appearing as potentially little more than the simple sky, night or day if they ever cross paths with Ayn at all. Due to the infinite emptiness of The Never End, this meeting is pure chance of the most unlikeliest order and so they simply wander about, aimless and near formless.So simple are these creatures that concepts like society's morality and ethics are beyond them. Destroying a planet teeming with life or creating a thriving ecosystem are equal if they even give these acts a second consideration at all. Where beasts feel anger, excitement, grief, and a bevy of important emotions, Entities do not.
Basic Information
Anatomy
There are no 'rules' when it comes to the anatomy of an Entity. Made up of wayward Essence, loosely bound only by their inexplicable will to occasionally form together, it is a miracle they form at all. This results in varying forms, from nebulous clouds, to beast like appearances or even humanoid makeups, their form is decided by what is needed at the time. This, often, results in hands or tendrils of sorts which offer precise means to manipulate, and so 'hands and fingers' are commonplace. Else an Entity is just as valid in their appearance of a floating whale as they are a six limbed, faceless person.

Paradoxically, Entites are incredibly simple minded while also maintaining incredible knowledge the likes of which mortal beings simply cannot possess. Like a child, they lack much in the way of intense, nuanced thought, and yet they are capable of creating life and ecosystems, forming deific pantheons, and willing stars and planets into being.
Alignment And Religion

Entities are incapable of complex or nuanced though, they function with single minded purpose, driven by the unpredictable whims of the Essence within their composition. As a result, they lack the drive and intention to fall within or maintain any distinct alignment, their actions as inscrutable as the Essence from which they are formed. They simply do. They simply are.
Despite their unknowable drive, and infinitely fluctuating alignment, they are the origin of the Gods and the precursors of religion on Ayn. The Entity responsible for the creation of Ayn in due course also crafted the Gods to watch over its fundamental domains, such as life and death. Yet paradoxically, their maker left the Gods to their own devices, indifferent as to if the Deities performed their duties justly, or even at all.
