FTL Jump Inhibitor

"Ah... captain, we can't jump. They have an anti-jump field up. On the plus side, they can't jump either?"

For the times when one has to keep their opponent from running away, and everyone else in the area for that matter.

Utility

Affects a large area around the emitting ship, hindering all attempts at jumping away and also affecting long range navigation systems. The only way to get away is with standard engines or wait until the field is dropped.   If a ship tries to jump while inhibited they simply won't go anywhere. The jump drive will charge up to jump and sit there until the field is dropped or the drive is deactivated. Usually the latter as it burns through more fuel while sitting.   Stealth also becomes impossible with one of these active, as anyone with the effected area in range of sensors will know it's there.
