Eqix

Eqix resemble earth mantis, except much larger, and also a lot tougher. They have almost alarmingly strong shells for dealing with the environment on their home planet. Though they are not without squishy points in their armor, and they don't float in water, or swim for that matter. Their shells are fairly reflective, almost iridescent in some lighting. Females being more purpleish or dark blueish, males being more green or blue-green shades. Though sometimes they are colored like metals, usually copper, no one is quite sure why. They have a triangular shaped head, with two large bulbous compound eyes on ether side. Two smaller compound eyes sit between and ahead of their big eyes. These see lots of different light frequencies and that is about it. Two small feathery antennae come out from the rough middle of their head. Though they are sturdier than they may look, considering they've had to withstand fierce winds in past eons. They have two main sets of mandibles on the of underside of their head. They have four arms on their torso. Two larger that end each with a sharp-pointed plated fore-claw used mostly for defense, but can serve as a dangerous weapon when needed. The kind of fleshy underside of the fore-claws is capable of glowing. They also have four fleshy, almost plant-like growths on their backs, which have bio-luminescence in them. They have four legs that each have a plate similar to their fore-claws, though not quite as sharp and a bit more meant for stabbing into the ground. The kind of fleshy underside being glowy like the fore-claws.

They're at or above human level intelligence.

They see through four compound eyes, two large ones toward the sides of their heads and two smaller ones that are further forward and between their main eyes. What exactly they see however is debatable. They hear/smell with a pair of feathery antennae that poke out of the tops of their heads. They hear and understand surprisingly well. They rely less on touch, unless it is poking something with a fore-claw/leg-claw. Their most interesting sense is electroreception, though this also means they hate magnets.

The Tleisalzeo are kinda reliant on them for support in most cases. Mostly because they were basically uplifted.

Eqix names tend toward clicks, hisses, and ee sounds. Eqix is actually a decent example of a name, probably slightly less humanly pronounceable though.

They have basically one main language that originates as a sort of common language from their homeworld. Which is mostly made of clicks, hisses, and semi-screechy sounds.
