The Fell Dragon
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
In its youngest form, the Fell Dragon is a black dragon with a grey underbelly. As it ages, the black dulls and the grey reddens to a deep crimson. Eventually the black bleaches to a pure and pristine white.
Special abilities
The Fell Dragon has an intense breath weapon with fire that burns hotter than the flames of Diekon or Firum. These flames are a brilliant orange in it's first incarnation, black in its second, and a brilliant blue in its final incarnation. It also houses a strange form of immortality that allows it to return every century with all of its memories still intact. And the final, most mysterious power it held at one point was the ability to control other augmented dragons. It has not displayed this power since its first incarnation during the Dragon Empire but it is a dangerous power nonetheless.

Personal history
The first Fell Dragon was born in the Ancient Age, at the height of the Dragon and Giant Empires. Some say that they made it as a weapon to destroy the Giant Empire once and for all in one final war. Either alone or along with the other augmented dragons made over the centuries. But instead, it turned against its masters and destroyed both empires, controlling the other augmented dragons. No one knows how the Fell Dragon met its end but it did at the end of the empires, disappearing forever and scattering the augmented dragons to the four winds. That was the end of its story.
Until the Eternal Empire fell as quickly as it rose and the Daemons invaded in the 8th century. In the wake of this chaos, at the highest peak of Alus's mountains, the Fell Dragon returned. It had one goal in mind: the erasure of all life on Avestra. It laid a path of death and destruction across the continent, slowly spreading from its home on the Tainted Mountain. It killed again and again until finally, enough was enough. The Guardian of Avestra allied with the Adventurers Guilds, and soldiers from all over Alus that weren't busy with the Daemons. On the 14th of Lightrise, they marched towards the mountain. And the Fell Dragon was ready, decimating most of them. But Eno found the last few surviving adventurers and together, they killed the Fell Dragon. That day would be marked forever more.
That should've been the end of it once again but the world is as cruel as it is gracious. Every century from then on, the Fell Dragon returned. Eno would face it again and again, laying it low but it would return despite every way it was killed. The most brutal encounter came in the 12th century when the Fell Dragon destroyed the capital of Bra'Lakun, killed its king, and nearly killed Eno. Not just that but it had survived its wounds of the past, growing older and far more powerful. Once again, it took the efforts of the Dragons, adventurers, the Guardian, and even a Draxeeli who survived the Fell Dragon's rampage to be marked by it. They killed the Fell Dragon's more powerful incarnation and ended its threat for a time.
But it is only a matter of time until the Fell Dragon returns. And many wonder if the Guardian is able to handle this alone. For this thing, this being that hates life so much that it wishes nothing more than to kill it, it refuses to stay dead. What will it take to kill it permanently? What will it cost to finally see it come to an end?
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
The Fell Dragon is driven by a singular urge to kill. Unlike the Daemons which do so because it is their nature, the Fell Dragon does it because it hates. It hates all life. It hates to the point of emptying all that is good and living. Sapient, Sentient. If it breathes, if it exists, it must die. The only time that the Fell Dragon seems to display any other emotion is when it faces off against an immortal, especially the Guardian.
Likes & Dislikes
- Despises all living beings
- Tolerates immortals, particularly the Guardian
Representation & Legacy
The Fell Dragon's representation comes in three forms: A black dragon with a red underbelly, a black dragon with a grey underbelly, and a white dragon with a red core. Cultists who believe in its sovereign right to purge the world of the unworthy will use one of these three symbols. However, its influence spreads far beyond cultists. The very land itself has been sundered in the way of the dragon's rampage. The Desolated Lands, badlands and desert stretching from the mountains to both sides of the continent are the mark it has left. Not to mention the Draxeeli and other draconic people who can be born with scales and features similar to its own. These are known as the Fell-touched and often looked down upon and feared in Alus.
Social
Speech
It is easy to dismiss the Fell Dragon as nothing but a feral beast. However, the horror of it is the realization the profane dragon is eloquent and well-spoken. Its every word drips with hatred and loathing, enough to strike terror into the hearts of even the bravest warriors but it is a slow and driven mind. Its goal requires it to be. One scholar who was lucky enough to witness a meeting between the Fell Dragon and Eno was stunned by this revelation as it talked to the Guardian.
