Desire rises through the ranks of the Dominion and becomes a Dominus.

The Spark of Alliance

Shortly after her triumph over the Mesmerist, Desire was approached by Dominus Varal. The Dominus was drawn to her method of defeating the Mesmerist, fascinated by the way she organized an accident to avoid the dragonsong curse. A friendship bloomed between them, then an alliance when Varal offered Desire a position as one of their heralds. Desire readily accepted, leaving the Material Plane for Diabolis.

The dirty politics and dark energies of Diabolis corrupted her mind, her playful nature soon turned to cruelty. This cruelty allowed her to swiftly climb through the ranks of the House of the Broken Mirror. Soon enough, she was Varal's first praetor.

Opportunity

For decades, Diabolis has held the soul of Seneca Insurmos-Milles-Infedelis and has tortured him in hopes of breaking his mind and forcing him to submit to the will of the Archdominus. Fiends of all kinds and castes have attempted to shatter Seneca's will, but each attempt was meant with a wall of determination that seemed unbreakable.

Desire offered to step up to the challenge, claiming that she could have Seneca wrapped around her finger as long as she had some time alone with him one-on-one. Desire's beauty has been the topic of tales since she gained notoriety in Nebeus and she knew that a pretty face, honeyed words, and perhaps a gentle hand here and there was just what Seneca needed.

The Archdominus cleared the meeting and Desire was allowed to enter Seneca's prison alone. They were together for several hours and when Desire left the prison with Seneca at her side, he knelt to the Archdominus in respect. Serallus was so impressed by Desire's victory that he elevated her status to Dominus instead of praetor and gave her Seneca as a gift.
