Then Avalos rose from the depths, its land piercing the deep waters like a blade. Mountain peaks and low valleys, barren plains and deserts devoid of life.

Before time, there was the Eternal Sea, within its deep waters lay horrid things. Monsters of the deep far older than any could fathom. For many long eons the seas surged and pitched in waves as large as mountains, and the monsters ruled the world. Then Avalos rose from the depths, its land piercing the deep waters like a blade. Mountain peaks and low valleys, barren plains and deserts devoid of life. Avalos had risen, though it was inhabited still by monsters. Creatures of the darkness that pervaded the land for in that time no light had yet shone upon the new ground.
