Orod Mountains (Or-od)

Far too the north lie the Orod mountains. The largest mountain range on the northern continent, they are home to some of the most fierce and hardy folk to match the horrid weather and montstrous fauna that also inhabit the peaks and valleys.
  The Orod mountains have many times played an important role in world history. During the First Assault of Mordas they shielded the northern wastelands from their wrath and when they laid siege to the dwarves of Arnon the numerous catacombs and tunnels allowed enough to survive that they could return as reinforcements in the 7 day siege.
  Most of the range is wintry in climate, their far northern position seeing to that, and many if not all of the peoples inhabiting the range live by carving into the mountains many caves and tunnels. The range is also home to the tallest mountain in Avalos, Orod Arrior and the accompanying Kyomorenphor Temple.
