Human (Human)

Among the many sapient species living on the surface and below Avalos are humans. One of the most numerous species on the continents, humans also serve as one of the most culturally and ethnically diverse collectives. The first recorded origin of humans in history came shortly after Thilanlunei as a kingdom was established. In old stone carved tablets dated to sometime in the 183rd year of Dawn, early Luneil record-keepers remarked on "Creatures of diminutive stature and pale skin crawling about the undergrowth on the edge of our forest, their weapons--while primitive--work remarkably well in felling the small creatures that muck about in the scant tree cover."   A short time later Luneil explorers made contact with the first known human settlements upon the great plains to the east. The Thilanlunei established trade routes with many of these early settlements delivering fruits and spices in exhange for grains and livestock which the humans cultivated on the wide grasslands. It is in part through these connections that the Great Plains Inferno was recorded and Othersturm and Ethildor were established with help from Luneil ambassadors.   Humans--while a diverse species--are easily recongizable. Physically similar to other bipedal species such as dwarves and elves their recognizablity comes from their lack of extraordinary characteristics. They lack both the overly small stature and hardy build of dwarves and as well as the characteristic 3rd and 4th arms of elves. In a world of the extraordinary, humans are the exception. Generally varying anywhere in height from 4 feet to around 7 feet tall (Though exceptions of course exist). Skin color varys widely across ethnic and cultural lines, ranging from dark brown to pale white and anywhere inbetween. The same can be said for hair color, though naturally humans often lack more colorful hues.   Humans are short lived creatures, often even the oldest of their species make it only to the low hundred years of life. Their lack of time is not relayed by their achievements however. Perhaps as a consequence of their short lifespans human ambition often drives intercontinental affairs. While human kingdoms are often short-lived and quick to violence, raw human ambition often drives them to leave a strong impact on the world around them.
