The Population

The Population of Avaloros
Copied by Drakst T. Sklounst in the 213th cycle of the count of years (CY)

Written on this scroll are accounts of the spirits and folk who came to live on the world of Avaloros ere the Material Plane was born.

All this was copied from the original scroll held sacred by the Cult of Seira at the Grand Temple of Chrysopotis.

    So begins the scroll:

As Avaloros traveled through the cosmos, fellowship and invitation was given to the just among extreme elemental forces.
Those who accepted became the Courtlings of the Noble Houses of the Advocates.

Within the Inner Planes, Avaloros befreiended the Advocates, who joined the travels with a retinue of their elemental attendants.
After the creation of the Material Plane, Seira's nymphs would lead the elementals in stewarding the world.
And until that time the elementals wandered freely over the body of Avaloros, comingling with the young tribes of dragons.
The Noble Houses of the Advocates are given here.

  Court of Earth
Advocate: Behemoth (Elder Elemental)
Behemoth's Genie: Zaratan (Dao)
Behemoth's Mephit Attendants: Avani, Roland, Tlalli
Behemoth's Retinue of Gen: Bhumi, Demet, Ki, Lambert, Riku; AKA the Pygmys (Daolani)

  Court of Air

Tempest's Retinue of Gen: Alya, Era, Hodei, Samira, Zeru; AKA the Sylphs (Djinnlings)

  Court of Water

Phoenix's Retinue of Gen: Alba, Dian, Noor, Shula; AKA the Salamanders (Efreetikin)
Inspired by their brave leaders, many elemental knights of the Inner Planes, be they noble or errant, went with the Triarch to explore the Outer Planes.
Their orders and the names of their leaders are given here.

  Para-elemental Knightly Orders (Myrmidon)
Sviti, Archon of the Order of Ooze; home to the hybrid spirits of Earth and Water.
Glacio, Archon of the Order of Ice; home to the hybrid spirits of Water and Air.
Fumi, Archon of the Order of Smoke; home to the hybrid spirits of Air and Fire.
Magmo, Archon of the Order of Magma; home to the hybrid spirits of Fire and Earth.

Only eight Errant titles were created by Avaloros to reflect the influence of Ao's positive and negative energies.
The names of these knights are passed to the successor generations of elemental spirits and much prestige has been garnered over many cycles by these knights.

Quasi-elemtental Knight Errants (Genie or Myrmidon)
Brilo, the Radiance Knight (Salamander)
Mineralo, the Minerals Knight (Galeb duhr)
Fulmo, the Lightning Knight (Air elemental myrmidon)
Vaporo, the Steam Knight (Water elemental myrmidon)
Salo, the Salt Knight (Frost salamander)
Polvo, the Dust Knight (Xorn)
Cindro, the Ash Knight (Fire elemental myrmidon)
Vakuo, the Vacuum Knight (Invisible stalker)

And last and smallest of elemental spirits, the Chwingas appeared in the shadows between the great scales of Avaloros.
Unseen by most, they are the inheritors of the world and pointed to as prime example in harmony.

Then the Triarch braved the Elemental Chaos and came to tour the Outer Planes.

They traveled through Mechanus, the plane of Lawful Neutal.
And through the plane of Arcadia.
They traveled through the Seven Heavens, the plane of Lawful Good.
And through the plane of Bytopia.
They traveled through Elysium, the plane of Neutral Good.
And through the plane of the Beastlands.
They traveled through Arborea, the plane of Chaotic Good.
And through the plane of Gladsheim.
They traveled through Limbo, the plane of Chaotic Neutral.

And through the plane of Gehenna.
They traveled through the Nine Hells, the plane of Lawful Evil.
And through the plane of Acheron.
They traveled through the Concordant Opposition/Outlands, the plane of True Neutral.

It was this tour that wrought the idea of a Plane of Harmony within the mind of Avaloros.
The power of the Plummet of Space and the Arrow of Time created a second cosmic egg.
With the birth of the Material Plane, Seira begat the Host of Nymphs and their heirarchy is described here.

And many grasses and shrubs were found throughout.

Raising the banners of their small houses, the folk prospered and found balance for a time.
