The Dragon Garden Call

The Dragon Garden Call is an ancient and insidious curse born from the lingering magic of the destroyed Dragon Garden. It binds those infected with Dragon Rot, an affliction that slowly transforms the victim into a monstrous dragon-like creature entirely under the control of the Garden's progenitor—the Mother of the Garden.   The Call is the ultimate manifestation of the Garden's lingering influence. Its effects resonate like a siren’s song, a haunting melody that can only be perceived by those marked by Dragon Rot—or those with a connection to draconic magic. It is a lure, pulling its victims toward the ruins of the Garden, where they are fully consumed by the Mother’s power.   A deep, resonating hum within the afflicted’s mind, growing louder as they near the Garden or its influence. Heightened aggression, even toward allies, coupled with a compulsion to travel toward the source of the Call. Visions of the Dragon Garden, often depicting it as a lush paradise when, in reality, it is a cursed wasteland.   For Eclipse, a wyrmling Shadow Dragon, the Call is particularly potent due to her innate draconic nature. Despite her best efforts to resist, proximity to the Garden or its corrupted agents can overwhelm her willpower, causing her to fall under the sway of the Mother of the Garden. When affected, Eclipse exhibits: A shift in her normally inquisitive and playful demeanor to one of cold hostility. A marked increase in her draconic abilities, as if they are being amplified by an external force. A trance-like state in which her primary focus is to serve the Garden’s will.
