(Palingenesia) παλιγγενεσία Rebirth of something old
The Rebirth of something Old is a plague that infects those in the upper planes. The excess of mana that flows from the prime plane allows the celestials of the upper planes and power that has not been seen in millenniums. The cycle infects celestials and drive them to travel to the lower planes and hunt for mana from demons and devils infected with the cenogenesis draining them of mana and using them to transform into a stronger celestial when they die. The plague is broken down into three parts.
teleutao (τελευτάω)-ending of life:
teleutao the ending of life. The stage of drives the celestial to seek out combat with those infected with the plagues opposite the cenogenesis: the birth of something new. Once they find their mark. They kill and consume all the mana within their body and store it within their body. They continue to hunt the monsters until they are killed by them. Once they die and their soul returns to the upper planes. The next stage begins.
anazosis (ἀνάζωσις)- Revival:
When a Celestial dies, they return to the upper planes to be reborn and begin their life anew. All the mana that they collect is taken with them to the upper planes and busted out into the planes allowing the mana to reenter the weave and on top of that allows the Celestial to grow in power based on the amount of mana that was collected. This new form returns to the lower planes and starts to to collect more mana until the energy is to much for the body of the Celestial and they are eaten by the strands of the weave to help repair it in the other planes. Leading to the final stage.
egeiro (ἐγείρω)- to awaken:
egeiro to awaken to the new form allows Celestial to grow into a rank above their own and become one with magic. The weave needs help rebuilding since the mage known as Midnight is walking the earth and not fulling her role as the new Mystra. So, the Weave as started to use the creatures of the planes as stand in Mystra’s to repair itself. Burning up the soul in the process. This form awakens the soul and allows it to be consumed by the Weave and join with it and repair a small amount of the weave. After some time the soul is returned to the upper planes where they are rebuilt and all memories of the plague are gone and the cycle truly begins again.
