Aura
Also known as "magic" to the common people, Aura is highly commonplace within Avalon, both the land and the beings living there.
Within the communities of Avalon, those with a higher affinity for Aura Manipulation are often placed into positions of power, even when they are not qualified to hold those positions.
There is a technological boom occurring, making use of shards of Aura Crystals in order to power the technology itself. Known as Crystal Technology, or Crystech for short, advancements in transportation and daily life have skyrocketed in the past two decades.
Manifestation
Aura can often be found in high, unrefined amounts near Crystal deposits. This is mostly identifiable by the subtle glow and hum that all true Aura Crystals have. Identifying where a Crystal deposit is can be done through examining the plant and wildlife of the region: animals and other creatures will have minor Aura manipulation capacities, while plants will grow larger and have a phosphorescent glow to them.
Within individuals, Aura can often go undetected until brought to the fore, either purposefully or accidentally. When it manifests, it does so as a glow from the individual's eyes and body, typically in a shade of color unique to the individual. The First King was said to have a golden colored Aura, and is the only one in history to be recorded with anything similar.
Localization
Aura is saturated in the very lands of Avalon, with Crystal deposits found in a wide variety of locales. It can be seen most often near the Fae Wilds, where the Aura of the land is somehow even stronger than within Avalon itself, and is prone to twisting the plants and beings of the land further than normal.
