The Epic Colossal War that Created the World
In the beginning, the world was unformed chaos. It was a vacuum. One couldn't even call it a world.
Six colossal, the first and strongest Gods did not abhor a vacuum and were, in fact drawn to the chaos.
The Six Gods each claimed to be singularly omnipotent and boasted of superiority over the others. After long debate, in fact, so long that it lasted 7 days, it was established finally, that each believed in their own superiority and nothing but a show of strength would establish who was most superior.
In no great hurry to battle, for they were complacent, the superior colossal argued and drank for another 7 days.
The Six Gods boasted of their supreme omnipotence and refined their arguments as they continued to delay the battle. But since all claimed to be omniscient as well as omnipotent, the battle to prove who was strongest couldn't be delayed forever. Claiming omniscience, the colossal claimed they knew when the battle would begin. And so it did.
The First Colossal wrapped himself around the existence of the others, large, seemingly boundless. They could not grab him for he was hard to grasp. He believed he had proven his supremacy and could not be touched. He named himself. He was Sky.
The Second Colossal was angered by Sky's boasting. She created an enormous hole in the First Colossal when she made herself into a large fiery ball and launched herself through Sky and stood above him. She was a bright light above Sky. She named herself Sun.
The Third Colossal entered the battle by making herself into a dense dark hardened world. She launched herself towards Sun, thinking to blast Sun far away from Sky. She hadn't counted on the fiery heat of Sun. Sun repelled Third's action causing Third and the Sun to fly apart from each other. As she was repelled, she called over her shoulder saying she was Moon.
The Fourth Colossal had watched the fight and what he had seen compelled him to action. He drew on Moon's idea but refined Moon's strategy. Instead of launching himself at Sun to drive her away, he instead used his momentum to launch himself away from all of them. He was Winter Moon.
The Fifth Colossal tried to hide his discomposure as he watched the violence of the four who had preceded him. The only witness to his discomposure was the Sixth Colossal who sat across from him and smirked. The Fifth Colossal was afraid to make a move. He was nervous. Sixth took advantage of Fifth's indecision and acted with confidence. He knew he had the best plan. He made himself larger than all of them. As he launched himself toward Sky, his form continued to grow as his movement accelerated. He was already the winner and was just about to boast that he was the winner of the contest when his form stretched to such large proportions that he shattered and millions of drops of moisture fell from Sky. He was water.
The Fifth Colossal, on his own at last, having seen the others actions, felt confident now that he had the 'home advantage.' He formed himself into a great ball that was hard on the outside but liquid in the middle. He would not be so big that he would fracture but he would be bigger thatn Sun and the Moons. Best of all, he thought; he would remain where he was and forever out of the others' reach. But he had miscalculated, for he was not omnipotent or omniscient. He had not foreseen that his weight would force the others, Sky, Sun, Moons and Water to interact with him. He was Land.
The Colossal battle that created Sun, Moons, Water, Land, and Sky is how the World was created. The world named itself Autauga.
Water became Ocean, River, Stream, pond, rain, and ice. Though she struggled to reform herself into a single whole world, she was subjected to the weight of Land who drew her toward him. She was subjected to Sun's heat and parts of her form grew smaller and transmuted, evaporating to join Sky. Sky's movement drew her at will, back and forth until Land drew her back to him. Moon and Winter Moon fare forever in motion owing to the momentum of their beginning. They might have accelerated with such momentum but Land exerted his will on them by his weightiness, making each Moon inert, forever circling the others and each other at different points. Sun's fiery heat exerted her will on them all. The action of her heat caused the Moons to react, regularly transmuted both Water and Land leading her to believe she ruled over them all.
